Dorada Beach

Playa Dorada or "The Golden Beach" is in the tourist area Playa Blanca. Dorada Beach has amazing fine golden sand, exactly as its name.

In Dorada Beach the water is so clear you will think you're in a pool. With these beautiful shades of turquoise, you won't resist to take a bath in it. The sea is generally very calm so the beach is perfect for families with kids. There is also a wide offer of water sports.

Dorada Beach in Lanzarote is located next to Papagayo Mall, near to Los Ajaches Natural Park. Playa Dorada is very close to major hotels, so it has all the amenities and services such as sunbeds, umbrellas and water sports equipment. It's also near restaurants and bars, giving options to tourists and locals.

Dorada Beach is an ideal place for the little ones, as they can enjoy watching the fish at very shallow depth. Playa dorada has calm water and is great for families.

Playa Grande in Puerto del Carmen 

Playa Blanca Beach is in Puerto del Carmen, the first tourism zone created on the island. This beach is also known as Playa Grande, named like that by the “conejeros” (locals) to avoid confusion, since there’s another place called Playa Blanca (the town) in the south of the island.

Playa Grande is family beach, an ideal place to go with children because it has calm waters. Playa Grande has all the amenities: bathrooms, showers, toilets, changing rooms, vending machines for drinks and snacks, rent of hammocks, umbrellas, boats, diving and water sports equipment. The beach has lifeguards and there is a base of the Red Cross.

Playa Grande is at the level of the promenade and the beach avenue, so it is frequently visited by tourists.

This is one of the most representative areas of Puerto del Carmen. The most important sporting event of the year, The Ironman Lanzarote, takes place in Playa Grande. Also, on this beach New Year’s Eve is celebrated with orchestra and fireworks show.

Playa Grande is rounded by palm trees and the view won’t disappoint those who want to relax in front of the Atlantic. Within walking distance there are shops, supermarkets, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and apartments.

Playa Chica

A perfect place to relax, sunbathe and get to know the seabed. Playa Chica or Pila de la Barrilla is a cove curiously protected by prolongations of natural lava, which gives this beach a special tranquility to enjoy the sea. It is a perfect beach to go with the family as it is small and protected from the wind most of the year.

One of the special features is that it has an impressive seabed, perfect for snorkeling or diving, has caves that shelter incredible species and together the clarity of its waters recreate the perfect setting to feel "like fish in the water" .

It is an easily accessible beach, as it can be reached from Bajamar street or Harimaguada street. It is very close to Playa Grande and the center of Puerto del Carmen. It has all the amenities. It can also be reached by public transport (bus) and is very close to the Biosphere Plaza Shopping Center.

 

Papagayo Beach

The Papagayo Beach is located within the Natural Monument of Los Ajaches, south of Lanzarote. It’s a beautiful cove, with calm turquoise waters. This beach is at the southern end of the island, with a landscape of white sand bordered by walls of the cliff. It’s a Tourist’s favorite, te locals too. This beach is highly recommended and is considered one of the best beaches on Lanzarote.

It's great to go with the family, because it has calm waters and it's protected of the wind. Also, this beach is great to snorkel and scuba dive.

In this cove is accessed by dirt tracks, which enlarges its exclusive appeal. Pay attention to the signs! You pay about 3 € to enter and leave the vehicle in a parking next to the beaches.

 

El Jablillo beach

It is a beach of very easy access, with gold sand and calm waters sheltered of the marine currents by breakwaters. Although windy, this small beach of El Jablillo of 150 meters, is a favorite in Costa Teguise and is located next to the beach of "Las Cucharas". The gold sand, the wind and its promenade are the main features of El Jablillo Beach.

It is possible to arrive by bus and it is possible to park the car a few meters away. This small cove has complete equipment, with sun loungers and umbrellas, also has in its surroundings accommodation, restaurants and various services. It is a perfect beach for those who want to go scuba diving or snorkel and for families with children who want to have them close by.

Las Cucharas Beach

It is the most extensive beach in Costa Teguise. "Las Cucharas" Beach extends for 640 meters of fine gold sand, with pristine crystalline waters that attract tourists and locals. It is an excellent place for windsurfing, so half the beach is reserved for this sport. There are hammock and umbrella rental services, pedaloes and surf and scuba equipment can be hired.

This beach is surrounded by hotels, apartments, spas and restaurants, so there are services and amenities within walking distance.

El Reducto beach

"El Reducto" Beach is the main beach in the island capital. This beach has fine sand and the special characteristic of being framed with tall coconut trees.

The almost enclosed bay, starts in “Punta del Camello” and ends at the Grand Hotel in Arrecife, spans half a kilometer long by 45 meters wide and has calm waters.

This urban beach is at the heart of Arrecife, with a promenade where all the services are: bus, accommodation, restaurants, and bars, showers, changing rooms, toilets, telephones and shops.

 

Flamingo Beach

Another tourist beach in Playa Blanca is Flamingo Beach. An artificial creation of fine white sand that is located in Playa Blanca, very close to the Los Ajaches Natural Park, in which is the famous Playa de Papagayo. It is a family beach, ideal for children, as it has calm waters and no waves. It also has services of bars, restaurants and supermarkets a few meters from the sand.

Playa Honda Beach

And it's great for children to be on the beach and to see the planes flying very close, since the airport is next to Playa Honda.

La Francesa Beach (La Graciosa) 

Discover this beautiful beach on a secluded area in the island of La Graciosa, just 20 minutes away from Lanzarote. La Francesa Beach is 435 meters long and 30 meters in its widest. It luscious white sands and crystal clear waters are ideal for relaxing and disconnecting. If you visit by boat, you’ll find a large area for anchoring too.
