Las Conchas Beach is located north of the island of La Graciosa. It has white sand along more than 600 meters, and It’s the result of the passage of “Corredor de jable” (sand) coming from the Sahara. The sand color contrasts with the beautiful turquoise shades of the waters of the Atlantic and the view of the small island of “Montaña Clara”, right in front of this beach. It’s in a rural and isolated area, which is not easily accessible. You can walk down a path one of the main roads on the island, journey that takes about an hour, but consider that it doesn’t have lighting so you wouldn’t want to come back after sunset. You can also go cycling in a 25 minutes ride or hire the services of a jeep or a boat, also called “water taxi”.
Las Conchas Beach is an exotic cove with strong currents, so it is not recommended if you visit the island with children. It is a place to enjoy nature and the amazing view, do not forget to bring plenty of water and sunscreen.
