1. Arrecife's Carnival 2017
This Saturday the celebration of the Carnival of Arrecife 2017 begins. You can see the program for this weekend here:
Saturday, February 18th
11:00 am. Exhibition dedicated to the "Carnival" by the Association the "Perro Flaco" in the Sociedad de la Democracia in Arrecife.
5:00 pm. Carnival opening by "Amigos del Carnaval" (Friends of the Carnival), with the participation of the "Batucada Villa Pipol", starting from Puente de las Bolas to the Charco de San Gines.
9:30 pm. Drag Queen Contest presented by "Amor Romeira", with the performance of the singer Yurena Around The Workd, Recinto Ferial Marquee (near Cabildo).
Sunday, February 19th
5:00 pm. 3rd Edition of Children's Murgas Contest with the performance of "Murga Los Bambones", Comparsa Cumbacheros and all participating groups (Retoñitos, Chau Chau, Guacimetitos, Gorfinijos, Noveleros e Intoxicaditos) Recinto Ferial Marquee (near Cabildo).
2. Performance: Yuri Fontes. Devenir.
The Performance play by Yuri Fontes "Devenir" is presented at the CIC El Almacén on February 18 at 8:00 pm. Ticket is free until completing capacity (50 seats). The work has a duration of 30 minutes and is recommended for all audiences.
3. Carnival in San Bartolomé 2017 "Un Carnaval de Cine" (Movie Carnival)
San Bartolomé presents "A Movie Carnival" to celebrate the Carnival from February 18 to March 3. And this Saturday will be the presentation of the Carnival at 9:00 pm, with the groups of the Municipality and children's Murgas: the Guacimetitos, Retoñitos, Afilarmónica las Revoltosas and Batucada Guaychara, in the Felix Rodríguez de la Fuente Park.
4. I Zumba Passion La Villa
Zumba Fitness Lanzarote organizes the I Zumba Passion La Villa, which will take place on Saturday in the municipal pavilion of La Villa de Teguise at 8:00 pm.
Tickets are priced at € 8 (advance) and € 10 (at the box office), to benefit Social Welfare of the City of Teguise.
5. Activities for children in Lanzarote
* Kite workshop. Biosfera Plaza
This Saturday Biosfera Plaza Shopping Center offers a "Kite Workshop". The lkids will be able to learn to create funny and creative kites at 6:30 pm. Note *: Maximum capacity of 30 people, requires previous registration.
* Activity for childrens: ping-pong. Deiland
On Saturday, February 18, the children's activity "Ping-Pong" will be held at the Deiland Shopping Center at 10:00 am. The activity is framed within the Island Games of the Cabildo of Lanzarote.
* Carnival Props Workshop. Deiland
On Sunday 19 February, the Deiland, with its children's activities program, offers the "Carnival Props Workshop", with accessories, facepainting and balloons. The activity will be from 11:30 am and participants must register beforehand.
Costume Workshop. Playa Blanca
This Friday, February 17, at 5:30 pm, the Costume Workshop is organized at the La Aurora Neighborhood Association of Playa Blanca.
6. Family Theater: TOTÓ EL PAYASO Un payaso viajero (TOTO THE CLOWN A traveling clown)
"TOTÓ THE CLOWN. A traveling clown" arrives this Saturday at the El Salinero Theater, at 6:00 p.m. to brighten theday for the little ones. Tickets for the 50-minute performance are priced at € 6 and can be purchased online. They can also be purchased at the box office of El Salinero Theater on the same day of the performance, from one hour before the start of the show, but only in the case that they have not been sold out.
7. DISPARATES
The sensational work of circus-theater returns for all the public, more crazy than ever ... so do not make plans on February 18 because you have a "crazy" date at the Tias municipal theater at 6:00 pm. Tickets are 5 euros for kids over 12, 3 from ages 3 to 12, and free for children under 3 years old.
