Jameos del Agua, located in the north of the island, is one of the seven Art, Culture and Tourism Centres of Lanzarote. It is an intervention in the Lanzarote space, created from a series of natural jameos by the famous local artist César Manrique, which pretends to show the visitor a place for the contemplation of the nature hardly intervened by the man.

Cueva de los Verdes was formed during the eruption of the Volcano of La Corona, about 5000 years ago, before Timanfaya, when the very flowing lavas descended below more compact lavas creating an elongated cavity.

The form of an amphitheater welcomes you to the Cactus Garden, a cactarium where more than ten thousand cacti of more than one thousand four hundred different species, from America, Madagascar, the Canary Islands, Morocco, Ethiopia and other desert areas of the earth.

Mirador del Río is a unique place for incredible contemplation of the island of La Graciosa and the two islets: Montaña Clara and Alegranza, which complete the Chinijo archipelago.

The Museum of Contemporary Art MIAC is located at the Castillo de San José, in Arrecife, which was built between 1776 and 1779 by King Carlos III. A place full of history, which they say was made to give work to the suffering population of the island, constantly sacked by pirates. It is also known as the Fortress of Hunger.

The Museum, which is another of the creations of César Manrique, opened in 1970 and it has a very complete collection of pieces by authors such as Picasso, Bacon, Miró and Manrique himself.
