On this walking route, we encourage you to know the most authentic part of the old part of the capital of Lanzarote, guiding you to the main places of interest. You will have free time to make some shopping or enjoy a wine tasting and local tapas in some little terrace at Charco de San Ginés or Marina Lanzarote.

We will start our walking guided route visiting the San Gabriel Castle, former military fortress and watchtower, that protected the city historically from the continuous pirate attacks.
Nowadays it houses the Lanzarote History Museum, a cultural space that makes an interesting review of the island’s history illustrating its continued economic turndowns, intense relationship with the sea and the locals impressive ability to adapt to hostilities.
We will visit the Calle Real, Arrecifes commercial artery and will continue our stroll through the historical centre towards the San Ginés church and the Charco area, we you will breath Arrecifes most traditional and authentic seafaring essence. From here we will continue towards the modern Marina Lanzarote where you will have free time to walk around its shopping area or taste the exquisite cuisine of its many restaurants.
