Christmas in Tías
Tías has a very festive program for this weekend. Today at 8:00 pm is the Christmas Festival of the Beatrice Senent School. It will be the Charity Gala for the Department of Social and Family Welfare of the Municipality of Tías for collecting food, toys and hygiene products, in the Municipal Sports Pavilion. 
Besides, you can go Visit Santa´s Home at the Biosfera Plaza Mall. Any special request? In case you have quite a few, you can ask many many santas on the Christmas Parade in Puerto del Carmen this Saturday at 6:00pm, where a lot of “santas” will go from the Touristic office to Plaza del Varadero, ending with a great party and toys collecting. 
And if you don’t like to see that many santas, you can always choose pirates. Yes! Pirates! At 6:00 pm there’s a date with the Children’s Play “Los Cuentos del Pirata Carapalo”(something like: The Tales of Pirate wooden face) from the Theater company “Espíritus de Sal” in the Municipal Theater of Tías. The ticket is 8€ and you can buy it at the Tías PCAN Station or one hour before at the box office. 
This Sunday ends with music, at 8:00pm it will be the Choirs Meeting in the Nuestra Señora del Carmen Church in Puerto del Carmen.
Christmas in San Bartolomé
Today there’s a Senior Christmas Dinner and Dance in the Lancelot Hotel, planned by San Bartolomé city hall. Tomorrow, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm it will be the "Children and Youth Revitalization, Wishing Tree workshop”. 
At 7:30pm you can enjoy the representation of Living Nativity in Playa Honda in Plaza Santa Elena, with performances by the Choir and Band of San ABrtolome and the Choir “Rociero Al-Ándalus entre Alisios y Levante”. At the end, the choir will go throught the streets San Borondón, Guanarame, Alisios and Mayor (open shopping area), singing to Christmas.
Christmas in Yaiza
South of the island, Yaiza celebrates this weekend before Christmas with many activities. “Realistic fantasy literature of myths is very well suited for children” is what Pepa Gonzalez says and teaches. This Friday, at 5:00pm, there’s a “Myths” workshop in the Library of Playa Blanca. Do you wanna build a Snowman? At 5:30 pm you can create a fun snowman with sheets of soft drinks at the Cultural Center of Uga. On Saturday December 19 at 5:00 pm there will be the “Christmas Movement”. And the Zumba Fitness Festival continues, for more than 3 hours in the Plaza del Carmen in Playa Blanca. 
On Sunday December 20th at 10:00 am there will be workshops for children in the street Limones in Playa Blanca. Then there will be a Christmas concert by the Municipal Band of Yaiza. At 6:00 pm it will be the Folk performance in Femés. Berto and his team return to delight us with their music in a Christmas atmosphere at the Cultural Center of Femés.
Christmas in Arrecife
Lanzarote's capital has everything to enjoy this weekend. 
Today the program offers “Cuentos en un tendedero” (fairy tales on a clothesline) of "Nana" in children's Municipal Library at 6:00pm. At the same time, at the fairgrounds of Arrecife, it will be the first function of Violetta El Musical ON-BEAT, the second show will be at 20:30. 
Also at 6:00 pm it will be the performance of carols by students from different schools in Sociedad Democracia Arrecife. Tomorrow, from 11:00am to 2:00 pm, “The Music takes the Street” with the students from Toñin Corujo Music School. Saturday afternoon will be wild… because it comes El Rey de la Sabana, El León (The King of the savannah, The Lion). The great musical is presented at 6:00 and 8:30 pm at the fairgrounds in Arrecife; followed at 8:00 pm by "Arrecife hails Christmas" with the San Ginés Polyphonic Choir Association in the Church of San Gines (after Mass). 
Christmas in Teguise
The National and International Meeting of desserts is celebrated today in Teguise at 6:00pm in the Civic Center of Costa Teguise. And at 9:00 pm it will be the great Solidarity Concert in charge of the Calicanto Group in charge in the Convent of Santo Domingo. Tomorrow Saturday there will be Christmas Crafts for adults at the Civic Center Costa Teguise from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. And, at 10:30am, to dance and to help, you can join the Solidarity Zumba MasterClass “Un regalo, Una ilusión” (A gift, an ilussion) for a great cause, in the Amphitheater of Las Cucharas. 
At noon you will enjoy the Christmas Children’s Concert at the Convent of Santo Domingo. Then, at 8:30pm, the Christmas Concert Un cuento de Navidad (A Christmas story) of the Band There will be another Christmas Children’s Concert at noon this Sunday. 
Christmas in Haría
This friday in Haría it will be the Inauguration of the painting exhibition of the works presented in the Painting Competition Winter in CSC's La Tegala at 7:00pm. At 8:00 pm there will be Christmas Songs with La Parranda de la Tercera Edad, School of Folklore and Christmas Musical Collective. And for tomorrow, saturday 19, There is going to be a Musical Performance in the “Craft market” with the School of Folklore of Haria at noon. And tomorrow night, at 8:00pm the Meeting of Choirs in the Church “Nuestra Señora de la Encarnación”: Polyphonic Choir Teguise, Coral Vulcania Polyphonic Choir and Chamber of Giovanni Bardi. 
Christmas in Tinajo
Tinajo really enjoy Christmas, so this previous weekend there are many festive activities. This Friday at 12:00 it will be opening of the Christmas market in the Plaza de San Roque. A las 16:00 horas es el comienzo del recorrido real por los centros socio-culturales del Municipio de Tinajo, empezando en La Santa, El Cuchillo, La Vagueta, Mancha Blanca y finalizando en la Plaza de San Roque; todos/as acompañados/as por los pajes de sus majestades los reyes magos. At 4:00 pm is the beginning of the “Royal Tour” for the socio-cultural centers of Tinajo, starting in La Santa, El Cuchillo, La Vagueta, Mancha Blanca and ending at the Plaza de San Roque; all accompanied by the page boys of their Majesties The three wise men. After delivering the letters, the children will enjoy a Puppet show at 6:30pm. 
Then, it will begin the great Tinajo Christmas Skating Gala at 7:00pm in the social lounge in Tinajo. The II Solidarity Concert in charge of the Tinajo Peña de San Roque Band will be at 8:30 pm in the Municipal Theatre of Tinajo. You can ask for the early entry in the House of Culture in exchange for a product for the Department of Social Services City of Tinajo (hygiene and cleanliness). 
On Saturday December 19 the Christmas market continues, adding children's workshops and Christmas stories for the kids in the Plaza de San Roque at 12:30pm. There will also be a movie, with chocolate and churros at 6:30pm. Sunday at 4:30 pm it will be held the “I family solidarity Run ‘Running, walking and all working’” a campaign to collect toys. You can participate by donating a toy. At 6:30pm it will be the musical performance in the Plaza de San Roque with parranda "Gurfines son los del Puerto" as the culmination of the campaign.
In Lanzarote there are no excuses for not living a time full of magic. If magic is what you want, enjoy the magical world of Alice in Wonderland on Saturday at 11:00 am at the Teatro de Lanzarote. This incredible story the whole family will make everybody happy.
The Touristic centres also have their program for this weekend, and on Saturday at the Mirador del Río there will be an evening of music and poetry with ”Letras y Sonidos” (Lyrics and sounds).
There are also events for charity like the one organized by Rancho Texas benefit for Texas Calor y Café, for a second weekend you can contribute to a good cause.
