Like every week, we tell you about the best events in Lanzarote. This weekend there are a lot of Things To Do In Lanzarote, parties, food festivals, concerts, Theater, film shows, sports and exhibitions. There are over 30 events that we divided into 7 sections by interest.
You can't say "there's nothing to do in Lanzarote", because this beautiful island has everything north to south.

1. San Francisco Javier Festivities. In Yé and Arrecife
This weekend the festivities in honor of San Francisco Javier end in the town of Ye and start in Arrecife.
Fiestas de San Francisco Javier
This friday in Ye, Haria, there will be the "Recibiooó" Photo Exhibition. At 18:00 hours It will be the Sweepstakes and beginning of the "Cinquillo Women's Championship". The children will have a great time at 21:30 with the Disney Musical. Followed at 23:00 hours by the Children Mini Disco, and they can go with their costume and enjoy their favorite Disney character. Saturday at 10:00 am there will be a pottery workshop for children. Then the Futsal Championship 3 × 3 for all ages. The other championships will end also at 16:30. While at 21:00, will be the representation of the work of the "Raices y Ramas" (Roots and branches) theater group with the theme ¡Qué alivio! (What a relief!). The day ends at 23:00 hours with the big dance entertained by the musical group "Los Conejeros and Swing del Mambo". To end the celebrations, Sunday November 29 will be the traditional mass and procession in honor of San Francisco Javier.
Fiestas de San Francisco Javier Arrecife 2015
In Arrecife, folklore will star in the fiestas in honor of San Francisco Javier. Arrecife celebrates the festivities from Friday November 27 to Sunday December 6. Among the many activities, this Sunday at 17:00 there will be a children's party with afternoon workshops and traditional playbacks. 
2. Local cuisine
Festival Enogastronómico
The Food and Wine Festival takes place this 28 and 29 of November in the town of Teguise. There will be professionals from other parts of Spain and the Canary Islands that will come to share with local chefs and the general public, new ideas and cutting-edge culinary concepts. Local produce is the star during these two days. 
The kids will have activities planned for them in the "Aula Chinijo Chef" (Kids Chef Classroom). There will be cooking workshops for the little ones to discover the texturess, flavors and food processes. 
IV Amateur Popular Cooking Competition of the Lanzarote Beans
The IV Amateur Popular Cooking Competition of the Lanzarote Beans will take place in the Villa de Teguise, on Sunday, November 29th at 11.30 am, with the aim of encouraging and promoting the use of local products, grains and Lanzarote traditional and quality cuisine. 
"Chef for a Day" workshop, Christmas Special
As part of the activities of November the Deiland Mall will have this Sunday a the workshop for children: "Chefs for a Day" Christmas Special. It will start at 11:30 am until 1:00pm. There are 30 places available for 5 years old+ children . 
3. Concerts
Nahuel Pennisi
Today Nahuel Pennisi is presented in the Theatre of San Bartolomé, at 20:00 hours. With the participation of Juan Manuel Padron and Domingo "The Colorao". The ticket price is 15 €. 
Lourdes Pastor Concert in San Bartolomé
Fusion music and social responsibility go hand in hand in the concert that presents Lourdes Pastor this saturday at San Bartolome Theater at 9:00 pm. She wonder "for who is she singing?" and the answer is that she sings to life, to the streets, to love, to people and especially to women. Lourdes Pastor will be on stage next to guitarist Mariano Delgado. 
Polyphonic Choir San Ginés concert
Kcor &Rock is the new musical proposal that San Ginés Polyphonic Choir presents under the musical direction of José Antonio Elias Roldan. A fusion of choral singing is presented with rock music through their versions of known hits that will bring choral music to a more diverse audience. This concert will be at the Jameos del Agua Auditorium, this saturday at 8:30 pm. 
4. Theatre
“LOS IMPOSTORES” (The Impostors)
A family represented by three different generations waiting for news of a relative who has disappeared and has also done a considerable amount of money invested in a Ponzi scheme. While they are waiting for news of the missing, they play cards, the "liar". All strive to keep hidden the "skeleton in the closet", and if it is necessary to lie and manipulate they will. 
With this play "The impostors", the Canarian company history The Republic celebrates its 20 anniversary. The play, written by Quique and Yeray Bazo, directed by Nacho Cabrera, has Yanara Moreno, Miguel Angel Maciel, Toni Baez, Sara Alvarez and Daniel Tapia in their leading roles. This black comedy that makes us reflect on greed, money and lies will be presented in Lanzarote Insular Theatre today, Friday November 27, at 9:00pm . The entrance is priced at 10 euros.
Teatro al Natural (Natural Theatre)
Investigate, Create, perform and show yourself in a space, an environment, a different place ... let yourself be enveloped by the wind, the sun, the sea and your creativity. For adults and teenagers from 16 years. This "Natural Theatre" will be on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November at the old mill in Yaiza. Hours: 10:00 to 15:00 and 15:00 to 18:00. 
5. Film and Culture
5ª Edición de la Muestra de Cine Europeo de Lanzarote
The 5th Edition of the European Film Lanzarote will be from November 24 to December 4. This Friday, the Canarias en Corto catalog will be presented, It consists of 7 short films: "La Talega", by Beatriz Fariña, "Nadie" by Daniel León Lacave, "En el Banco", by Iñigo Franco, Nice Song by Lamberto Guerra, "Las tormentas son para el verano" (Storms are for summer) by Ivan Lopez, "El canto del monstruo" by Armando Ravelo and Melodrama by Cayetana H. Cuyás y Cris Noda. 
Also, the Lux awards finalists films are released in a European tour that goes to 44 cities, with Lanzarote as outermost headquarters. The Academy of the Muses is the "Panorama" this Saturday at 19:00 hours, while at 21:00 will Arabian Nights Vol.1. For more information review the Full Schedule
8vo Encuentro Bienal de Lanzarote 2015
The Eighth Edition of the Biennial of Lanzarote is linked to program activities that the Centers for Arts, Culture and Tourism of the Cabildo of Lanzarote that have been prepared on the occasion of the celebration of fifty years of existence of these spaces under the title 50 years / art and Nature under the slogan "planting ideas, live, reap". 
In the House of Culture Benito Pérez Armas, on Saturday 28 at 20:00 hours, it will be the opening of the Biennale, with the artist Monique Bastianns who will present a combination of works from the exhibition "Plaisir de Fleurir" and exposure "The Ideals". There will also be several exhibitions in the Exhibition Hall Charco de San Gines in Arrecife and int the Art Center of Santo Domingo Convent in Teguise. 
Tales for Adults. Miren Edurne in Arrecife
Miren Edurne staged a session of stories for adults today, Friday, November 27, at 20.30, under the title "If walls could talk". The activity will be held in the capital's civic center and access is free and open to all interested. 
6. Sports
Zumba Fest Arrecife
On Saturday November 28 at 20:00 it is held in the Canary Islands Park the "Zumba Fest". Fernando Petit, Oliver Martin and Zumba monitors that will make you dance for two hours at intense pace with the music by Dj Johny D and Dj Ale Ossorio. The entrance is priced at 8 euros, includes event t-shirt and the chance to win various prizes that will be drawn. 
III Solidarity Race Against Gender Violence
The III Solidarity Race Against Gender Violence will take place on Saturday, November 28th, in the city of Arrecife. The start will be at 12:00 hours from the Canary Islands Park and half an hour earlier, at 11:30 am, it will be the traditional warm up in charge of Zumba Love. Registration is free and can be done online in www.mc2action.com or 09.00 to 11.00 on the day of the race. 
The route is 2.5 km, it can be made running or walking. The main purpose of this III Solidarity Race Against Gender Violence is the social awareness of this problem. Join the cause and participate in this race.
37 Rallye Orvecame Isla de Lanzarote
On 27 and 28 November will be held the 37th Rallye Orvecame-Lanzarote (Naviera Armas Trophy), under the organization of the FALP and last appointment as the Regional and Provincial Championships Canarias Las Palmas Asphalt Rally also Lanzarote Insular Championship. 
7. Solidarity
Art Echibition to benefit "Huella a Huella" Organization
This Friday at 8:00 pm in the Miramar Hotel Lanzarote it will be the opening of the Art Exhibition to Benefit "Huella a Huella", which can be seen the work of great artists Lanzarote who are conscious with animals. You can observe these wonderful paintings, sculptures and photographs, plus enjoy a small cocktail and have Jackson as ambassador and host of the gala, because yes, well behaved furry are welcome (The works will remain on display until January 31). 
Charity Dinner "United for a Cause". Disgrup
Today, Friday November 27, at 9:00 pm it takes place at the Monument to the Peasant's (Monumento al Campesino) the "Charity Dinner United for a Cause" organized by the Disgrup Foundation. The entrance has a price of 35 € including dinner plus performances and a charity raffle with prizes of Christmas baskets, weekends at hotels for two people all inclusive and more.
