1. Carnival Puerto del Carmen 2018
The Carnival in Puerto del Carmen 2018 starts today! This weekend there will be a "enchanted world" around El Varadero square, La Tiñosa and the Avenida de las Playas, during the great parade that will take place this saturday, February 17th. Here's the full program:
Thursday, February 15th
8:30 pm. Performance of the first three Murgas classified in the contest. Plaza del Varadero.
Friday, February 16th
8:30 pm. Great Carnival Gala, with performances by "Comparsa Sur Caliente Junior", "Charanga Los Gruñones", "Batucada Chimbay" and "Comparsa Sur Caliente", in El Varadero Square. Next, "Gran Verbena" with the DJs Angel Perez and Adrian Gonzalez.
Saturday, February 17th
5:00 pm. "Gran Coso Carnavalero" (Great carnival parade) in Las Playas Avenue from Barcarola to Fariones Beach.
9:00 pm. Sunrise Verbena by the Orchestra "El Combo Dominicano", the Quartet "Zone 40 Ur" and Dj Angel Perez, in El Varadero Square.
Sunday, February 18th
11:00 am. Children's Carnival (bouncy castles, different workshops...), and performances by Murgas Infantiles, in El Varadero Square.
12:00 noon. Day Carnival, with performances by "Pepe Benavente", "Tony Tun Tun" and the "Bomba" Group, in El Varadero Square.
2. Carnival San Bartolome 2018
San Bartolomé continues to celebrate Carnival with the "Burial of the Guachinango" in Playa Honda this Friday, February 16th.
At 5:00 pm will take place the parade and burial of the Guachinango with a tour of the "Avenida de Playa Honda" from the Esplanade of Guacimeta to Playa Chica (Playa el curita), performances of the "Murgas Infantiles". Then, Burning of the Guachinango and Dj Angel Perez.
3. La Graciosa Trail Kids 2018
This Saturday, February 17th, will take place "La Graciosa Trail Kids 2018", part of the Eighth Island Challenge in La Graciosa.
The categories for the children's event are: "Chinijos" from 5 to 10 years old, small circuit (1000 meters with parent), which will start at 5:00 pm; and the category "Chiquilín", from 11 to 16 years old, large circuit (2000 meters).
4. Children's activities: seesaws + Carnival masks painting workshop. Deiland.
The youngest members of the house can enjoy the children's activities of Deiland this Sunday, February 18th, with the Children's activities: "seesaws + Carnival masks painting workshop", at 5:00 pm.
