This weekend is filled with events, music, celebrations and sports.
Celebration in Villa de Teguise
As part of the “Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Carmen”, Villa de Teguise will host a wide program of activities for everyboday. The party starts with the Festival Acatife in the “Carpa Municipal de Teguise”, with the shows of Tinbeque (Fuerteventura), El Pavón (Tías) y Acatife (Teguise) this Friday july 10th.
Tomorrow, Saturday 11th, you can enjoy an afternoon of culture, food and music (Tarde de Cultura-Gastronomúa-Música). The Big Summer concert in the “Plaza de la Mareta” will start with de Canarian Jazz Orchestra, joined by “Emisora Clandestina” and “Efecto Pasillo”. The canarian band “Efecto Pasillo” will show their new album “Tiembla Tierra”, this pop group will be at La Mareta de la Villa from 4:00pm. The ticket price is 10 euros, for sale in the Culture Department and the La Villa and Costa Teguise Tourism offices. 
This Sunday, July 12, there will be a walk of “Cultural trails” that will part at 10:00 am from the entrances of the castle. At 18:30 hours, people will celebrate the third edition of “CAMINANDO JUNTOS… SIEMPRE” (Walking together… always). This walk has a purpose, against animal abandonment. The trail will go up the castle and the participants will enjoy a snack organized by “Huella a Huella” (If you are against animal abandonment come with your pet). The start is from La Molina, next to CEIP Doctor Alfonso Spínola.
Fiestas Nuestra Señora del Carmen Playa Blanca 2015
Continuing with the festivities in honor of “Nuestra Señora del Carmen”, in Playa Blanca there will be a celebration with sport and cultural activities. This celebrations will start with the Triyaiza Run, with the competition for children 1 kilometer (price of 4 euros which will be used for charitable purposes). Adults will have their race of 10 kilometers (registration of 10 euros). 
Besides, Playa Blanca hosts the “VI Torneo de 3×3 de Baloncesto Nuestra Señora del Carmen”. The activities will last until July 20th, however this Sunday Playa Blanca will have one of biggest sporting events: the VII Travesía Bahía Playa Blanca (Swimming Crossing Playa Blanca Bay), that will start at Playa Dorada with more than 300 swimmers. 
I Summer Festival Music & Sport
This weekend from Friday July 10 to Sunday 12, there will be at El Reducto Beach the I Summer Music Festival & Sport. Arrecife will have Dance workshops (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba). Sumba with the presence of Dj Ubay HDZ (Tenerife) and Dj Doblón Resident. There will be performance, Speakers, Pop music, Gogos, Live Set, and “Tapas” and beer. The “II Lanzarote Summer Challenge” includes Beach Tennis, Open doors exhibition at “Centro Náutico Marina Colón”, La Santa Surf (Canoe, Paddle surfing, beach volleyball, windsurfing). 
Lanzarote Summer Music Festival
Puerto del Carmen will shake this Friday and Saturday with the “Lanzarote Summer Music Festival”. It began yesterday and in the last two days “conejeros” and tourists will enjoy live concerts with local and international bands. Great food, great music and some “cañitas” (Beer). All this with free admission in Los Pocillos Beach in Puerto del Carmen. 
Concert: David DeMaría
More music. This Saturday David DeMaría will perform at “Teatro Insular” with the music of his last album “Otras Vidas” (other lifes). It will be a show filled with energy and the public will enjoy the new songs and the ones we all know and love. 
Windsurf European Freestyle Pro Tour
“Las Cucharas” Beach in Costa Teguise, is one of the best places to practice windsurf. This is why it’s the ideal escenery for the Windsurf European Freestyle Pro Tour that ends this weekend. International riders have invade the waters of Lanzarote, including the best in the world such as Tonky Frans, Davy Scheffer, Amado Vrieswijk and Anthony Ruanes. A feminine face pops in the crowd, with the entry of Maxime Van Gent. If you like windsurf and wanna enjoy this amazing and fun show, you can’t miss this event. 
U20 EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP WOMEN
The U20 European Championship Women is celebrating at the halls of Teguise and Tinajo. This “Campeonato de Europa U20 Femenino” started with 16 countries, and now the quarter-finals are played. Spain is still in the competition and today the Spaniards will play for the pass to semis against Poland. The other remaining match are France-Italy, Belgium v Ukraine, Netherlands-Slovakia, Hungary and Turkey, Germany vs Serbia, and Russia against Portugal. Festival of Theatre "Lila Garcia"
Tías Municipal Theatre (Teatro Municipal de Tías) hosts various activities planned under the First Festival of Theatre "Lila Garcia". This Friday, the company “Comí-K Teatro” will perform “Gaviotas subterráneas” (underground seagulls). This festival ends tomorrow with the celebration of an emotional act rejoicing the X Anniversary of the Theatre-Cultural group association “Lila García”.
