XVI Carrera San Silvestre Conejera Puerto del Carmen 2016
The popular San Silvestre race takes places on December 31st, there's the "XVI Carrera San Silvestre Conejera Puerto del Carmen", that's raced in Puerto del Carmen, from Las Naciones Square. This is a great way to say goodbye to 2016, running. The children race starts at 4:00 pm, and the adult race starts at 5:00 pm.
Fireworks at the Beach. New Year's Party in Puerto del Carmen
In Puerto del Carmen there will be an incredible farewell to 2016, with an amazing fireworks show over the Playa grande beach. The New Year's Party at Puerto del Carmen is held from 00:30 hours to the music of "Swing del Mambo Group" and DJ "Angel Perezz" on Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen. At 1:00 am there will be a Great Exhibition of Fireworks.

San Silvestre Ciudad de Arrecife 2016
On December 31 the Capital of Lanzarote ends the year with sports. Arrecife receives a new edition of the San Silvestre "City of Arrecife" race.
The San Silvestre "City of Arrecife" is 5 kilometers, with the start and finish line at the facilities of Marina Lanzarote. The athletes will have to complete a tour that will run through the historical center of Arrecife and making a complete return to the perimeter of the Charco de San Ginés.
This race is for charity, since all the money that is collected through registrations will be destined to support the work of Animals Shelter SARA.
Registrations are priced at 5 euros for adults, while children under 12 years can participate for free.
New Year's in Arrecife
The New Year's Eve party in Arrecife will be celebrated at Plaza de las Palmas, in front of the Church of San Ginés from 10:30 pm, until two in the morning with the performance of Treintaytantos and Los Magnéticos groups.
The first thousand people to arrive that night will have a free bag of cotillion and the twelve grapes of luck.
New Year's Party at La Terracita del Mercado
Marcado de Naos and La Terracita present the "New Year's Party", with performances by Buzo's and Tambo. Tickets are 20€ (with one drink). Only for people over 18 years old.
