Arrecife launches Spanish courses for foreigners

For this educational cycle, more than 80 people registered from Africa, Europe and Asia. Most applicants are unemployed women with less than one year of residence in Spain. The courses are free.

Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Immigration, managed by Eva Anta, has launched Spanish courses for foreigners. Anta stressed that the classes have become a necessary tool to promote equality and integration. "We provide the citizens who come from non-Spanish speaking countries a training cycle that promotes gender equality, access to resources and the general culture of the host society". The courses are completely free, they're created with the collaboration of the Ministry of Citizen Participation of the Cabildo of Lanzarote. Arrecife is the third municipality of the island in number of plaintiffs, after San Bartolome and Teguise. The Consistory capital organizes this activity since 2016. This year we have registered more than 80 people from Africa, Europe and Asia. Most applicants are unemployed women with less than one year of residence in Spain. Currently in the municipality two courses are offered; one for beginners and another more advanced. The areas designated for language learning are located in the Civic Center and the CEIP Arrecife Argana Alta. The registration period is open. Those interested in accessing the course should be addressed to the offices of the Department of Immigration, located in the Old National Parador, Avd Blas Cabrera Felipe S / N (opposite the Insular Directorate of Adm State.), From 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, from Monday to Friday.
