1. XVI International Film Festival of Lanzarote
Last night, with the presentation of Evolution, the XVI International Film Festival of Lanzarote started. Today the FICL2016 program continues with the film “Techo y comida” (Ceiling food) at 6:30 pm and “Hasta el amanecer” Uuntil dawn) at 8:30 pm.
Tomorrow, Saturday 9, the cinephile programming starts at 6:00 pm with: 24 Horas Que Mueven El Mundo – Manos Unidas, Estamos Entre Vosotros (Spot Oficial Fantàstik), Asegura Tu Muro, Super Grand, Stardust, R 120 Austin, Captain Laubex, Black Widow, Atlantis Immo (Atlantis Re), The Coup – A Small Cleptomanicx Adventure. The film “Un otoño sin Berlín” (An Autumn without Berlin) will be shown at 6:30 pm, meanwhile “La novia” (The Bride) at 8:30 pm and “Nadie quiere la noche” (Nobody wants night) will be shown at 10:30 pm.
Tickets will be on sale at the box office of Lanzarote’s Theatre on Friday April 8 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm and on Saturday April 9, from 6:00 pm.
2. Yeray Rodríguez's Concert
Tonight, the doctor in philology and traditional expert in verses Yeray Rodriguez brings a show in which the talents of “repentistas” (popular poets who improvise their verses sung), with the participation of several islands “verseadores” shown.
Prior to the concert from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, a free workshop will be held and it will teach the basic keys to improvise on popular poetic forms as the tenth. 3. I Classical Concert Cycle in Arrecife
This Saturday the Lanzarote Classical Orchestra continues the I Classical Concert Cycle in Arrecife, which purports to be an appointment for music lovers. And this Saturday, at 8:30 pm in the Sala José Saramago, will be the "Clarinet and String Quartet" concert.
The string quartet which normally performs with the OCL will accompany this time the clarinetist Ayoze Rodríguez Martin and offer a recital with works by two composers of the late eighteenth century, Weber and Reicha, with an extraordinary sound beauty and freshness all movements that highlight the sound of the clarinet.
General admission is priced at 12 euros; there are also tickets for several concerts and special price for members and students.

4. I Maratón de Montaña Haría Trail Team 2016
On Saturday is the I Haria Mountain Trail Marathon Team 2016. The route is for 12, 26 or 40 kilometers. This event is part of the II Cup Mountain Races.
5. XXIII Theather Days Encarnación Rodríguez, in Haría
The cultural center La Tegala of Haria host in April the Theatre Days XXIII Incarnation Rodriguez, with the following schedule:
Saturday 9 April:
8: 30 pm: Company SOMOS. Play: "Solo x Amor” (Just 4 Love).

6. Copa MTB: II MTB-XC Ajei
On Sunday the II MTC-XC Ajei is celebrated, organized by the C.D. El Aljibe, at 10:30 am with departure and arrival at Casa Mayor Guerra of San Bartolomé. The circuit is 5 km every lap, in the area of the village. This competition will be valid for the II Island Cup Mountain Bike Lanzarote 2016 and the XIII Interinsular Lanzarote-Fuerteventura Cup 2016.
7. II Eliminator San Bartolome 2016. XCE Canary Islands Championship
Lanzarote will host again the Canaries Championship with the ELIMINATOR II-XCE in the village of San Bartolome; the circuit has a distance of 800 m. The race will be on Saturday April 9 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, starting and finishing in the park Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente.
8. Latin Dances.
On Saturday April 9 at 12:00 hours there will be an exhibition of Latin Dance in Deiland Mall. Lanzarote guapea salsa, bachata, kizomba.
9. Magic Pictures" Workshop
For children, this Sunday April 10, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm there will be an especial workshop called "Magic Pictures" as part of children's activities offered by the Deiland Mall.
