Music: Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria. 32º Canary Islands Music Festival
The incredible Jameos del Agua Auditorium will receive this Saturday, January 23, the concert of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Gran Canaria (OFGC). Under the leadership of its director Pedro Halffter, they arrived in Lanzarote within the program of the 32nd Canary Islands Music Festival. For this special occasion, the OFGC has prepared an amazing music program, including the Symphonies No. 1 and No. 3 by Beethoven. The concert will begin at 9:00 pm and last 90 minutes. Tickets are priced at 30 euros.
Dance School “Anmy Rodríguez" VII Anniversary
Dance School "Amy Rodriguez" celebrates its twelfth anniversary. There will be lots of dancing, music and fun for you in a big celebration on Friday January 22 at 8:00 pm in the Municipal Theatre of Tias. Admission is free.
Bienal Off en Arrecife 2016
The last event of the programming of December and January the City of Arrecife includes this Friday 22, at 19:00, Performance. El Parto Cerebral Cultural Association. Bienal Off. It is in the cinema Atlántida (Charco de San Gines). At 8:00 pm there will be a Live Illustration Workshop. Also in the surroundings of the Atlantis cinema (Charco de San Gines). On Saturday January 23 at 12:00 pm, the Concert Band of the Conservatory of Music and Metals Brass Band will be presented. This is part of the XXXII International Music Festival of the Canaries. The event will be at the Municipal Cultural Space of La Recova in Arrecife at 9:00 pm.
PPC Runway “Perros Potencialmente Cariñosos” (Potencially Loving Dogs). Sara Protectora
The most loving dogs wait for you on Saturday January 23 at a special event in which you can enjoy a unique "runway", called PPC: Perros Potencialmente Cariñosos (Potentially Loving Dogs) who will "walk" in Sara. The animal protection organization invites you to this unique canine runway because they are "tired that this PPC dogs are being invisible for everyone, because they're poorly-judged and sentenced, they are given an unfair reputation". In ancient times the pitbulls were babysitters at home, these "big brothers" cared for the young children while their parents could not ... but now they have "bad name" of being hazardous for bad "education". This activity is intended that PPP (potentially dangerous dogs) will stop naming them to name what they really are:.. PPC potentially loving dogs. And of course, to encourage adoptions Sara Protection will bear the cost of the medical certificate, (necessary and mandatory) if you want to adopt one of these loving.
Story telling “Ruffus el Dragón que quería ser de Oro” (The Dragon that wanted to be Gold". Biosfera Plaza
This saturday, in Biosfera Plaza mall there will be a special activity for children. They will listen to a story by The SuperHada Patricia Cuentacuentos. The story "Ruffus The Dragon that wanted to be Gold". It will blow up the imagination of the little ones at 7:00 pm on Saturday on the second floor of the mall. There will also be free cotton candy flavors to all children attending.
II International Surfing & Bodyboard Championship “Quemao Class 2016″
The Second International Surfing & Bodyboarding Championship "Quemao Class 2016" will be celebrated this Sunday 24 and Monday, January 25. Elite worldwide surfers and bodyboarders will gather during these two days in La Santa, Lanzarote, to compete in the prestigious "Ola del Quemao" (Quemao Wave). The Wind and Sea conditions will be Favorable for the wave and conducive to the development of this competition, which will feature 64 competitors in the categories of surf and Bodyboard, 32 for each. These include recognized 'riders' of the world as maury Lavherne, Aritz Aramburu, Mark Healy, Nic Von Rupp, William Aliotti, Benjamín Sanchís, Joan Duru, Gony Zubizarreta, Natxo González, Yeray Martínez and Diego Cabrera. The competition will start at 8:00 am on Monday and each category will have 16 qualifiers sleeves 30 minutes each, except for the final round that will last 45 minutes. Undoubtedly, it is a unique show that you can enjoy as the 2500 spectators who enjoyed the first edition in 2015.
