1. Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Carmen Villa de Teguise 2016

2. Fiestas del Carmen Arrecife 2016
Arrecife celebrates the "Fiestas del Carmen" from july 8th to July 17th. The program includes activities for everybody:
Friday, July 8
7:00 pm. Parade with big heads, from the Socio-Cultural Center Valterra, with tour of the streets: Malacabado, Adolfo Tophm, Francisco Fernández Bethencourt, Alfonso Spínola, Benito Pérez Armas, Clavijo y Fajardo, Extremadura, ending at the park. The tour will be accompanied by the Batucada Woman Batuca.
8:00 pm. Proclamation of the festivities of Our Lady of Carmen 2016 by the Murga Los Desahuciados in Valterra Park.
11:00 pm. Verbena popular in the Valterra Park with the orchestra Sintonía Show.

This friday the program of the Festival of San Marcial Rubicon, in Femés, ends with the Popular Barbecue at 8:00 pm, with performance of parrandas Raices and El Golpito.
5. Fiestas de Nuestra Señora de Regla. La Vegueta 2016
The Fiestas de Nuestra Señora de Regla La Vegueta 2016 are celebrated from July 1st to July 11th.
On Friday at 6:00 pm is the Trail Chinijos La Vegueta 2016. Children who wish to participate must register one hour before the Socio Cultural Center.
Today at 9:00 pm It will be the concert of "Treintaytantos" at the Square.
For tomorrow, saturday July 9:

6. Copa MTB: III Maratón Norte de Lanzarote
The III North Lanzarote MTB Marathon will be this satuday July 9th. Men have as categories: Junior, Sub23, Elite, Master-30 Master-40 and Master-50/60. And female: Junior and Elite / U23 and Masters.
7. Family Musical: AVENTURA CANINA (Canine Adventure).
The family musical "Aventura Canina" (Canine Adventure) will presented on Saturday July 9 at El Salinero Theater. There will be two performances at 4:00 pm and at 6:30 pm. It is a musical starring a gang of six brave puppies that want to safe the welfare of the community at a place called Bahia Aventura.
Tickets are priced at 15 euros and can be purchased online or at the theater box office from one hour before the start of the show.
8. I Classic Concert Cycle in Arrecife
This saturday July 9 will be the closing "I Classic Concerts Cycle in Arrecife". From 12:00 pm you can enjoy the show free of charge, in La Plazuela, at the Petit Concert and at 8:30 the closing concert will be held at the Sala José Saramago of the César Manrique Foundation.
9. Altavista en Rebajas. Arrecife 2016
This satuday, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, the Altavista Park will host the campaign "Altavista en Rebajas" (Altavista sales), with activities for the whole family. There will be parades, children's inflatables, children's entertainment with Disney dolls, and from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm there will be a "Chef for a Day" workshop; also from 12:00 to 1:00 pm there will storytellers.
10. Beach cleaning "Los Cocoteros"
Associations Famara Limpia and COUP organized a beach cleaning in Los Cocoteros from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday July 9th.
Meeting point: before reaching los Cocoteros take a right on a dust road until you reach a beach where you will see the rest of the volunteers. The idea is to make beach cleaning as rutinary as cleaning your house.
This beach receives a lot of plastic beacuse of its shape and orientation.
